• Eco4Cloud at IEEE/ACM CCGrid 2014, Chicago, May 26th-29th

The Eco4Cloud solution for dynamic workload consolidation and efficiency optimization of data centers will be discussed in a tutorial at the IEEE/ACM CCGrid 2014 – 14th IEEE/ACM International Symposium on Cluster, Cloud and Grid Computing (May 26th-29th, 2014 — Chicago, IL, USA), highly‑reputed scientific event on Cloud Computing. The tutorial, entitled “Algorithms and tools to increase the efficiency of data centers: the case of Eco4Cloud”, will be given on May 29th by Carlo Mastroianni, Eco4Cloud’s Chief Scientist, and Ian Taylor, Eco4Cloud’s US Ops. After summarizing the relevant state‑of‑the‑art, the tutorial will illustrate the scientific foundations of Eco4Cloud and highlight the features and performance metrics that position it as leading innovator in this space. Special focus will be given to its differentiated attributes of inherent scalability and real-time adaptation to workload variations. The native integration of Eco4Cloud with the most popular virtualization platforms will also be discussed, and practical implementation scenarios will be part of a final demo which will showcase relevant functionalities for dynamic workload consolidation, automated server switch‑on/off, capacity planning, configuration troubleshooting, risk mitigation, SLA management. A great opportunity to gain comprehensive scientific insights into a fast accelerating technology which has already gained significant industry validation (e.g. Cisco’s, HP’s), analysts endorsement (e.g. 451 Research’s), and market adoption (e.g. Telecom Italia’s).
